Beginnings (Part 2)
Cheers to you if you are still with me after that first round of my story!
So all of that - the love for photography, life, travel, writing, and Jesus - are what have brought me to this point!
My hope for Karena DeMerchant Photography is to learn, capture, and tell your story. When you look back on this season of life, how will you remember it? What little details stand out in your mind? What traditions do you have? Where do you spend your time? I want to know these details and challenge you to view them as extraordinary, because they are just that!
Encountering you and telling your story is only part of this new adventure. You see, many times I have thought I would go for this whole business thing, and many times I found myself stuck with this feeling of that's not quite right. It took me a great deal of time, and some trial and error, to really pinpoint what was missing for me to really go for starting this business. The missing ingredient, the ministry aspect. It's embedded in me and it is a huge part of our family!
Each quarter, I will feature a non-profit/ministry here. A percentage of every session I do with you all during that time will go to the featured organization. The monetary aspect of it is only a small portion of this dream. During their quarter, I will also work with them to help fulfill photography/marketing needs that they may have, free of cost. I will share their story here and the work they are doing. When you work with me, you become a part of their story and they become a part of yours. I am so very excited for what all can come of this very significant part of the business, and truly believe in the power of telling our stories and watching the way they cross paths.
Dreaming big here, but my hope is that one day, some of you won't just be people I have photographed, but also people coming with us to serve alongside the organizations featured.
