For the Lovers...

We were on a road trip to Liberty University to visit friends and there was a “lingering look.” Neither of us could deny it, and our 7 year long friendship changed just like that. That’s where our love story began, and now my husband and I have been married nearly 14  years with 6 kids! It really is hard to believe that we have been married that long, and that we have packed so much life into that time.

I think back to the thrill of our engagement, and all the love and support of those around us. Our photographers made the experience of engagement photos so personable and fun. They were by our side for every moment of our wedding day. I remember they picked us up chicken nuggets when they realized we forgot to get food for lunch. What I learned from them is that photographing a wedding day entails so much more than just showing up and capturing your “I dos” and bridal portraits.

It’s an invitation into the details that lead up to your wedding day. It’s learning the story of your love during engagement photos. It’s helping you make sure you’ve thought of the best lay out to your big day so you can really relax and enjoy it. It’s an inside look at the family dynamics and willingly being a buffer if you happen to need us. It’s making sure you remember to eat and drink and go to the bathroom, because it’s amazingly easy to forget! It’s making sure your wedding party remembers to drink water and not just alcohol throughout the day. It’s sharing in your first looks, exchanging of private vows, final hugs with mom and dad, and every other intimate moment throughout the day.  It’s a privilege to be welcomed into these moments. It’s an honor to capture them.

So for the lovers, thank you for trusting me with every moment that makes up your big day. Thank you for letting me capture your love story. If you are looking for an engagement or wedding photographer, I would love to be considered! Click the button below to submit an inquiry!
